Multilingual learning

Here are some practical strategies to support English Language Learners (ELLs) and Multilingual Learners (MLLs).  By valuing students’ native languages through bilingual glossaries and translanguaging, connecting to daily life, using sentence stems, visuals, group work, and wait time improves participation, comprehension, and understanding.  Language should be used as a tool to support and not hinder student learning.
